This jacket is made from pre-waxed brown canvas, lined with a faded cotton fabric featuring a fish design. The lining was gifted by an older local woman in my small Northern California town, adding a personal and unique story to this piece.
The canvas has a structured, slightly stiff feel that will soften with wear. Over time, the wax will show wear, developing creases and subtle variations that reflect its use.
